Calima Bakery was born from the desire to share a little piece of Colombian bakery and food in Edison, New Jersey. What began as a risky decision—turning savings for a house into a bakery—is now a space full of flavor, history, and love.

Founded by Alfonso and Consuelo, Calima Bakery is named after the lake and the culture that shaped Alfonso’s childhood in Cali. From day one, the dream was clear: to offer authentic quality food that would make Latinos feel at home.

The first years were difficult, but with hard work, perseverance, and the support of their children and team, Calima Bakery grew into what it is today: a place where food is cooked with love, customers are valued as part of the family, and the Colombian flavor is honored.

Here we don’t just sell bread and food: we share culture, memories, and a little bit of Colombia’s soul.
